Context
Amity's 2026 conference, Bridging the "Silence to Violence" Spectrum Through Evidence-Informed Practice, brought together researchers, practitioners, and leaders in children's services to explore the impact of inter-parental conflict and domestic abuse on children's wellbeing. The event required a cohesive set of communications materials that could serve both in-person and online audiences, presenting complex and sensitive subject matter with clarity and professionalism.
Approach
Working within Amity's established visual identity, I developed a consistent design system across a wide range of outputs, including event posters, social media graphics, website assets, Eventbrite management, presentation slides, and printed schedules. The visual direction took on a more academic and editorial tone in response to the conference themes, while retaining the warmth and accessibility associated with the Amity brand. Consistent typography, colour application, and layout structures unified the materials across digital and print, keeping information clear and easy to navigate throughout.
Impact
The final suite of materials created a cohesive and professional conference presence across every touchpoint, supporting attendee engagement before and during the event. By balancing clarity, consistency, and sensitivity, the project helped communicate complex topics in a way that felt approachable, credible, and aligned with Amity’s wider mission.
